Q: What if I am not going on vacation, and just going to be away all day? Will you still come by?
A: Absolutely! We don’t cater to just clients going on vacation and can perform daily scheduled visits.
Q: Do you do any boarding?
A: At this time we do not. We are focused on our pet sitting business.
Q: Do you do overnight stays?
A: Yes we do! However it is a large commitment from our pet sitters, and not always available especially during peak pet sitting times like Spring Break, Summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Check out our Services & Pricing page for more details on what our overnight stays include, and call us to check on availability.
Q: Are you bonded & insured?
A: Yes absolutely! This is not a hobby for us. We take our jobs seriously!
Q: I have never let someone have access to my home while I am gone. I am nervous.
A: That’s not really a question but we understand completely! We have many clients living in some very prestigious neighborhoods with home values upwards of 1 million dollars. We remain professional in every home from the smallest to the largest. In addition our team is screened appropriately to ensure we are only choosing responsible individuals to pet sit your home. Our team members are well compensated and genuinely love their jobs. Read our online reviews and see why so many people trust us with their pets and their homes! Don’t forget we are also bonded and insured for your peace of mind.
Q: My dog is crated when I am not home is that a problem?
A: Not necessarily a problem, but we do like to remind our clients, that 24/7 crating results in the dogs being able to stretch their legs for less than 2 hours a day. You know your dogs better than anyone else, and you know if they are capable of being trusted or not
Q: Do you care for puppies?
A: Absolutely! However puppies need frequent potty breaks and attention!
Puppies under 6 months we will only be able to help for midday visits while you are at work.
6 months to 1 year we can do full coverage for trips less than 5 days
1 year and older we can do full coverage for trips greater than 5 days
Q: Do you care for elderly dogs?
A: Absolutely! However in our experience elderly dogs do best with trips less than 7 days long. If your elderly dog is approaching the end of its life we do not recommend pet sitting as if something were to happen it would be 8 hours between the next visits typically. Whereas at a facility there would be constant monitoring and if something happens it can be caught much sooner.
Q: Do you care for exotic pets?
A: Yes we love pets of all species. We are familiar with most exotics, but if it is something we have not encountered before as long as we are shown and explained on how to care for the pet we will have no problem!
Q: What happens if I am not back on time from my vacation or my flight is delayed?
A: Things happen! We understand, and all you have to do is call us, and we will get someone out to your house for an extra visit. The extra visit will be added to the bill, but there are no extra fees for adding a visit due to late arrival.
Q: What if I come back early from my trip?
A: That’s not a problem just call us, and we can cancel future visits with no penalty fee!
Q: Do you do any grooming or nail trimming?
A: At this time we do not offer these services, but if you have a long haired animal that needs frequent brushing we will certainly help with that!
Q: Shucks, I only have cats…
A: WAIT don’t go! Our name has Canine in it because it was cute and we like alliteration, but we take care of all animals!
Q: Am I supposed to tip a pet sitter?
A: We work very hard for our customers. We enjoy tips, and pet sitters get 100% of their tips, but if you tip or not is entirely up to you. We will provide superior pet care regardless. Our pet sitters are well compensated.
Q: What happens during a storm?
A: Our pet sitters safety along with getting to your pets to care for them are both top priorities. We constantly monitor the weather. If we can do a pet sitting visit before a storm comes or wait until after it passes we will. We have traveled on snow, ice, and flooding conditions to get to pets. We are dedicated professionals and will do everything in our power to take care of your pets as well as our team of pet sitters. If it is raining we are equipped with poncho’s and umbrella’s and we will stand in the rain to get your dog to go potty if necessary.
Q: What happens if I don’t leave on time, and I am still home when the pet sitter walks in?
A: If you can let us know via email, phone call, or text that would be best so we can stop the sitter from coming out. Trip charges apply in situations where we walk in and you had not notified us to not come.
Q: What happens if I come home early, and I am home when the pet sitter walks in?
A: A wonderful practice we appreciate is letting us know you got home safely via text, email, or phone call. Trip charges apply in situations where we walk in and you had not notified us to not come.
Q: What time of day do the sitters come?
A: Here are our arrival windows
Mornings 6 am to 8 am
Afternoons 12 pm to 2 pm
Evenings 7 pm to 9 pm
We do not offer custom times. We work in these 3 windows only.
Q: Do you charge short notice fees?
A: No we do not. However if you are inside of 48 hours’ notice we cannot guarantee sitter availability. We will try very hard to secure a sitter for you, but we recommend always having a backup plan for pet care if you have a lot of situations in your life that occur on short notice.
Q: Are you a franchise?
A: Nope! At first glance it would seem that way since we are so organized and professional, but we are an independent company created from the ground up with the customer in mind.
Q: I have an extremely detailed routine at my home. I don’t think you can do it all in 30 minutes. What should I do?
A: No problem! That’s one reason we offer the extended visits. During consultation if we feel that the routine will take much longer than 30 minutes we will make the suggestion of moving to extended visits which are double the time for only $10 more.
